Buffalo Bayou Trail Details
You do not have to travel far out of the city in order to enjoy the great outdoors. This trail runs through the center of Houston and travels past some of the city’s most beautiful parks on the north and south banks the Buffalo Bayou. The entire trail is 15-miles long, although you can make the loop shorter by turning around at either the Jackson Hill Bridge or Rosemont Bridge. It is also worth making a few pit stops at some of the memorable sites along the way. Talk a walk along the native wetlands at Tapley Tributary, catch a live performance at Guadalupe Plaza Park, or check out the resident bat colony that lives under the Waugh Drive Bridge.
