Windows Overlook Details
The Windows Overlook can be found off the Window Trail, a quarter-mile round trip hike. The three hikes that begin at the Door and Window parking area on Badlands Loop Road are Door, Window and Notch, and the Window Trail is the easiest of all. To reach the trailhead, take Badlands Loop Road from the Ben Reifel Visitor Center about two miles east. The Window Trail begins just above the Notch. From the Window Overlook, you'll see rugged terrain and eroded sediment including sandstone deep inside the canyon. This overlook is classic Badlands!
