Beaver Marsh Details
Inhabited by beavers since the 1970s, this popular destination is a great place to watch beaver activity and enjoy the tranquility of the marsh. While the animals are most active near dawn and dusk, visitors can look for chewed stumps, muddy dams, tail tracks, and drag marks from the boardwalk and observation platforms built to protect the habitat. The marsh is also home to over 500 different plant species, and numerous birds. The boardwalk and platform are accessible by the Towpath Trail, and as well as the long-distance Buckeye Trail.
