Hunt Farm to Ira (Towpath Trail) Details

Hunt Farm, the northern origin of this segment of the Towpath Trail, is a renovated 19th century farmhouse and a wonderful example of family farm life. The pastures that must have surrounded these farms, however, have since been flooded as a result of beaver activity further south. The surrounding marsh has since become one of the valley's most beautiful areas, and is traversed by boardwalks that allow for better views of the beavers and waterfowl that inhabit the area.
