Just two miles from Gatlinburg, the Sugarlands Visitor Center is a major gateway to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The visitor center is open every day of the year except Christmas. Here you'll find park information -- including a free 20-minute introductory film -- as well as Ranger-led programs, the Great Smoky Mountains Association bookstore, and a souvenir shop.
