Cades Cove Road Details
Although many of the roads in Great Smoky Mountain National Park are steep, narrow, and sometimes heavily trafficked, Cades Cove Loop Road is excellent for even the most amateur cyclists. The 11-mile road can be ridden in segments, and is closed to all vehicular traffic on Sunday and Wednesday mornings during the peak season. The generally level, well-maintained road offers wonderful chances to see Smoky Mountain wildlife, including whitetail deer and the occasional black bear in the distance.
