Mount Washington State Park Details
This park sits atop the highest mountain not just in New Hampshire but in the entire northeastern United States. Although it is only a little over 60 acres in size, it has one of the best views you could ever imagine as it peers over the 750,000-acre White Mountain National Forest below. If you are lucky, you might also get to see Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Quebec, and even the Atlantic Ocean. On top of the peak, you will find the Sherman Adams Building, which houses a cafe, gift shop, a museum, and a small observatory. You will also find the Tip Top House Historic Site, a reconstructed stone house with periodic furniture from 1853.
