Although this area was once the route for the Manchester and Lawrence Railroad, it is now a 4.5-mile trail through residential neighborhoods, marshy wetlands, and densely wooded forests, with ample opportunities to see turtles, birds, and other wildlife. Another 1.5 miles are planned and, in the future, this trail will eventually connect Manchester to Derry as part of the massive Granite State Rail Trail project. Until then, you can still enjoy the beautiful town of Londonderry and the surrounding natural landscapes.
