Medicine Grizzly Lake Trail Details
This is a beautiful hike in an area of the park that doesn't see a lot of visitors. The hike starts through a meadow which in the summer is often full of wildflowers. Massive peaks frame the backdrop. You'll wander in and out of meadows and forests along this hike, which stays relatively flat with a few short climbs. Medicine Grizzly Lake sits in a large basin surrounded by peaks of the Continental Divide. Waterfalls cascade down the rocky walls, feeding the deep green lake. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. Access is via Pitamakan Pass Trailhead at Cutbank.
