Atlantic Falls Trail Details

Atlantic Falls are small and picturesque. They are usually viewed on the way to Morning Star Lake, about 6.6 miles from the trailhead, but for someone wanting just a taste of this quiet and beautiful part of the park, you can turn around at the falls. The hike starts through a meadow that during the summer can be covered in wildflowers. You'll see large peaks off in the distance. After crossing Atlantic Creek you'll see the small and picturesque falls. If you feel up to it, continue to Morning Star Lake, a small alpine lake surrounded by sheer cliffs. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. Access is via Pitamakan Pass Trail in the Cutbank area of the park.
