The Doane Rock Picnic Area is adjacent to Doane Rock -- a massive glacial boulder -- and the Doane Homestead, once home to Deacon John Doane, who moved here from Plymouth in 1644 and helped found the town of Eastham. You can follow a short, paved, wheelchair-accessible loop trail from the picnic area to both sites. There are tables and seasonal restrooms at the picnic area, and you can walk to Coast Guard Beach. Just be aware that there are limits on how long you can park here.
