New Meadows Details

Ending on the shores of the 12 miles long New Meadows River, New Meadows is a refuge for waterway wildlife. Created by the tidal flow mixing both salt and freshwater into the mix, bald eagles, other waterfowl, and birds of prey are abundant here. Guests can follow the moderately difficult looping trail for a mile and a half through woods of pine and oak to the shores of the river where views of Bear Island and the harbor across the way are pictured.
