Abol Stream Trail Details

Accessible from the Appalachian Trail (northbound) near the West Branch of the Penobscot River, the trail follows and old, graded tote road eastward for approximately .5 miles before entering Baxter State Park. Self registration is required and a box is posted just after crossing into the park. Follow the trail and cut across the stream before ascending and descending along a sharp ridgeline. The trail terminates at the Abol Beach Picnic area and just before the Kettle Pond Trail and the Abol Pond Trail.
