Sargent Mountain Details

Acadia's second-highest peak at 1,373 feet, this mountain is Located west of Cadillac Mountain across Eagle Lake and Bubble Pond. There are a number of hiking trails, including Sargent Mountain South Ridge Trail, Grandgent Trail, Hadlock Brook Trail, and Maple Spring Trail, that lead to the top. The mountain's unique summit is very similar to the Tablelands of Maine's Katahdin Mountain: flat, wide open, and filled with wildflowers and stunted evergreens. On a clear day, panoramic views of Somes Sound, Isle au Haut, and even Camden are possible
