Man O' War Brook Falls Details

All rivers end at the sea, but few as dramatically as little Man O' War Brook which plunges 35 feet into Somes Sound from the south flank of Acadia Mountain. The Acadia Mountain Trail crosses the brook and has a side trail leading to the waterfall, or you can take the old Man 'o War fire road about a mile in off of Route 102. The water at the base of the falls is so deep that early seafarers simply pulled their ships underneath to fill up on fresh water.
