Valley Peak Trail Details
Valley Peak Trail runs from St. Sauveur's summit to the top of the 520-foot Valley Peak. While the summit is significantly smaller than most others in Acadia, it nonetheless offers some of the best views of the Cranberry Isles, Somes Sound, and the surrounding area. Aside from the summit, however, this strenuous trail is devoid of good views. The short, steep trail follows the looming 500-foot walls of Eagle Cliff under a pine, cedar, and fir canopy before descending to the Valley Cove Fire Road. Trailhead: From the St. Sauveur Mountain Trail.
