Sweetwater Creek State Park Details
Sweetwater Creek State Park is a uniquely located piece of land just outside of Atlanta's downtown area. The park surrounds a smaller sized 215-acre reservoir where visitors are allowed to fish and boat. What is left of an old textile mill, the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, stills stands in the park and is open, along with a few other specific trails, for visitors to view on guided tours. The interpretive center is also the greenest in the state as the park practices ecologically friendly conservation methods.
