Tram Trail Details
The Tram Trail is a 15-mile loop road that snakes through the Everglades' famous "River of Grass." The trail offers plentiful opportunities to see wildlife and experience what some consider to be the heart of the Everglades. The tram trail can be walked, biked, or experienced on a Shark Valley Tram Tour. Most visitors don't hike the entire trail, instead opting to bike or take a tram tour. There's a lot to see and do along the trail, including climbing a 45-foot-tall observation tower and exploring a tropical hardwood hammock. The trail is paved the entire way, is wheelchair-accessible, and begins directly behind the Shark Valley Visitor Center.
