Christian Point Trail Details
The Christian Point Trail is 1.8 miles one-way and takes hikers through a forest of mangroves, buttonwoods, and airplants, eventually opening onto coastal prairie. The trail ends on the shore of Snake Bight, which is best viewed at high tide. During the winter months you may be able to spot flamingos from the Yucatan hanging out in the mud flats at Snake Bight. There's also the occasional wild pineapple growing along the trail. Be wary of the mud that can be present on the Christian Point Trail, especially in the shoulder seasons and the wet season. It can be shoe-sucking, so wear appropriate footwear and be prepared to get a bit dirty.
