Crocodile Creek Trail Details
Launch your canoe or kayak at the park's boat launch at Convoy Point and start out by crossing the canal channel just to the south; be sure to use caution. Once you've crossed the channel, paddle to the shoreline and continue south, then enter Crocodile Creek, which is essentially a mangrove tunnel. Paddle around the creek and come back out, following the shoreline north to the Homestead Bayfront Park and La Playa Grille, the back across the channel to Convoy Point. Safe paddling practices include going with a buddy, filing a float plan so someone knows where you're going and with whom, checking the weather for high winds or storms; carrying extra water, food and sunscreen; and paddling within your experience level.
