Step House Details

Enjoy the only self-guided cliff house tour on your own! The most interesting fact about this cliff house is that it includes two separate construction eras, hundred of years apart, in the very same site. Round trip walking distance is only one mile with an elevation change of about 100 feet ~ the perfect little side trip as you explore Wetherill Mesa! Step House is open from mid-May through mid-October, and the trail begins and ends near the Wetherill Mesa Info Kiosk, where rangers are also happy to answer any questions you have!
