Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge Details

In northwestern Colorado lies the 13,450-acre Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge, right in the isolated mountain valley of Browns Park on the Green River. The refuge is the only wetland area within 50 miles, making it an ideal spot for migrating waterfowl and songbirds in the spring. Lucky visitors can see baby otter in the Butch Cassidy wetland, or elk calves crossing the river with their mothers. The refuge offers many opportunities to fish, hunt, or to go on a hike.
