The main attraction at the Rifle Gap State Park is the Rifle Gap Reservoir. Anglers can find bass, walleye and trout. This area is well-known for ice-fishing as well. There are five campgrounds that offer drive-in sites as well as restrooms and showers. At the beach, you can enjoy a swim or watch for local wildlife, such great horned owls. Birdwatching is popular, but there are no trails for hiking and or biking; however, visitors can access the nearby BLM land to hike on.
