Pulpit Rock Details
Heading west on South Rim Road, the first overlook you'll reach is Pulpit Rock, 1.9 miles from the Visitor Center. A short trail carries you to the edge of the canyon where, looking east, you can see the dramatic difference between the north and south rims. To the north, the canyon wall is sheer and craggy, while to the south the canyon wall is sheer in places, but mostly comprised of steep slopes with more vegetation than the wall to the north. Parking is available, but there are no facilities.
