Cross Fissures View Details

Another of many overlooks on the South Rim, Cross Fissures features a 0.3-mile trail to a scenic view. You'll feel as if you've hiked a lot further, though -- the landscape is that striking. Dramatic rock spires rise from the canyon floor and deep crevices and clefts in the rock -- called fissures, the namesake of the overlook -- are abundant. Parking is available, but no facilities.
