Ansel Adams Gallery Details

Ansel Adams' images of Yosemite are some of the most immediately recognizable photographs ever taken. You can buy reproductions of Adams' famous works documenting the American West at his namesake gallery and browse through frequent exhibitions of works by contemporary photographers. The Gallery was originally constructed in 1904 and belonged to artist Harry Best, who later became Ansel Adams' father-in-law. Gallery staff lead free summer camera walks on Mondays at the Ahwanee Hotel, and every other day but Wednesday from the Gallery porch, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The gallery is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
