Prairie Creek Visitor Center Details
The Prairie Creek Visitor Center is located just off Highway 101, along Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway. The Visitor Center contains information, exhibits, park films, parks passport stamps, Junior Ranger and ranger-led programs, a bookstore, restrooms, a picnic area, and trailheads. Exhibits focus on the coast redwoods forest, wildlife, and history of the area. The phone number is 707-488-2039. The Visitor Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in summer, but only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, the rest of the year. All visitor centers are closed on Thanksgiving, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
