Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail Details
Beginning at the marked trailhead on Bald Hills Road, two miles from the turnoff from Highway 101, the Lady Bird Johnson Trail is close to the Kuchel Visitor Center and easy to access. It is a 1.4-mile loop on a mostly level path, and was designed for the park's dedication ceremony. There are marked signposts that correspond to an informative brochure you can pick up at the trailhead to learn more about the history of the park. Benches at the park dedication site invite you to relax in the mist-shrouded, lush forest. Highlights are blooming rhododendrons (peaking in June), views of the forest from atop a ridge, and monster redwoods.
