Davison Road Details

This seven-mile scenic byway offers views of elk, beaches, and a beautiful canyon. Take Davison Road exit from US 101, 2.5 miles north of Orick, Calif. This route passes through meadows often grazed by Roosevelt elk as well as through second-growth redwoods, Gold Bluffs Beach, and ending near Fern Canyon. This is a worthwhile half-hour excursion off of the main thoroughfare. Davison Road is mostly unpaved, and motorhomes, RVs, and trailers are prohibited.
