Plan Around Summit Lake
A good stop is not just something to read about. Once it belongs on the day, move into a saved trip and build the route around it.

Summit Lake Details
Summit Lake is smaller than Juniper Lake, Butte Lake, and Manzanita Lake, but it still is a nice way to experience an alpine lake by boat. Like all bodies of water in the park, Summit Lake is closed to power boats. Unlike some of the more remote lakes, Summit Lake has two campgrounds on its north and the south shore. Be aware that because of its smaller size and popularity in the summer, the lake may be a little more crowded than the others. Boat rentals are available at the Manzanita Camper Store near the northwest entrance.
