Summit Lake North Campground Details
The Summit Lake Campground is around 12 miles south of Manzanita Lake and conveniently located right off the main camp road. The campground has both a north and a south section, with 94 sites total. Both have access to Summit Lake. Summit Lake North Campground is open from around July 1 to early September, while Summit Lake South tends to close a little later. Loop B is reservable, while Loop A is first-come, first-served. The cost per site for North Summit is $22 per night. You can reserve a campsite up to six month in advance online at [www.recreation.gov](http://www.recreation.gov), or by calling 877-444-6777. Restrooms have flush toilets in the North campground; South has pit toilets. Each site is equipped with a metal food locker and a water pump. Note that there are no RV hookups here, but RVs are allowed (maximum length 35 feet). Occasional evening programs are held at the Summit Lake Amphitheater, typically led by rangers or park staff.
