Summit Lake South Campground Details
The Summit Lake Campground is around 12 miles south of Manzanita Lake and conveniently located right off the main park road. The campground has north and south sections, with 94 sites total. Both campgrounds have access to Summit Lake. Summit Lake South Campground is open from around July 1 to the end of September, while Summit Lake North tends to close a little earlier. Loops C & D are reservable, while Loop E is first-come, first-served. Sites cost $20 each, or $15 with no water. Restrooms are pit toilets in the south campground (north has flush toilets). Each site is equipped with a metal food locker and a water pump (except the cheaper "dry" sites). Occasional evening programs are held at the Summit Lake Amphitheater, typically led by rangers or park staff.
