The Echo Lake Trail will branch off here towards the east side of the lake, which you'll reach in about half a mile. Climb through a vast fir forest to a manzanita woodland. Stop here for some amazing southwest views of Lassen Peak. Keep climbing towards the ridge top: this is the beginning and end of the Cluster Lakes Loop Trail.
