Van Damme State Park Details

A great place for a day hike or overnight camping, this state park near the town of Little River boasts 1,831-acres of natural beauty. Highway One intersects the park, separating the tree-lined forest in the east from the coastal beach to the west. One of the most unique features of the park is the pygmy forest, which has several stunted trees on display. You can also take other trails to a 36-foot tall waterfall, through the steep walls of Fern Canyon, or down to the coastal shores of Van Damme Beach. If you have a kayak or canoe, you can also explore the small hidden caves and tide pools offshore.
