On the third and final section of the Sunset Trail is Ricks Pond on Stonebridge Road, an area that was once owned by the Fordyce family and Earl Ricks, a former mayor of Hot Springs. The area is ideal for spotting wildlife such as beavers, green herons, other aquatic animals and pine warblers. There are lots of frogs calling in the area near the pond during the summer and spring as well, especially at dusk.
