The Havasupai Gardens Mule Ride is a full day adventure descending into the Grand Canyon along the Bright Angel Trail to the lush oasis of Havasupai Gardens. This seven hour experience departs daily from the Stone Corral next to Bright Angel Lodge and is available through April 30, 2026. After a safety orientation and saddle up, riders travel approximately two and a half hours down the trail with experienced wranglers, stopping briefly along the way to take in views and photos. At Havasupai Gardens, guests dismount and enjoy about one hour to relax, explore, and eat an included sack lunch before beginning the return ride to the rim, arriving back by mid afternoon. Group size is limited to a maximum of 10 riders per day. Rides depart at 7:00 am from April through October and at 8:00 am from November through March. Guests must arrive 15 minutes before orientation and are strongly encouraged to check in at the Bright Angel Transportation Desk the day prior or at least 90 minutes before departure. The cost is 487.84 dollars per person including taxes and surcharges, and includes a souvenir water bottle. Operating dates, pricing, and availability are subject to change.
