Northwest Arctic Heritage Center Details
The Northwest Arctic Heritage Center is the park's headquarters and visitor center. The park headquarters is located outside of park lands in the village of Kotzebue, 80 miles to the southwest. The center also serves as headquarters for other preserves and refuges within the borough. The heritage center is the starting point for all ranger programs, can loan out bear resistant food canisters, and has a museum focused on the Arctic ecosystem and Inupiaq culture. The center is open year-round with the following hours: Summer (June through August): Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; closed Sundays Rest of the year: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday
