Rising 1,500 feet above the Denali Park Road near mile 17, Primrose Ridge is a popular off-trail hiking destination. Also known as Mt. Margaret, the ridgeline has a flat top where hikers can camp or simply take in the views of the rolling tundra or, depending on the weather, Mt. McKinley. It's also possible to combine a hike up Primrose Ridge with the Savage River Trail or other explorations of nearby Savage Canyon.
