High Seat Details

You'll not be surprised to learn that High Seat is one of the highest points in the Central Fells, although it fails to top 2,000 feet. From the peat-covered summit you'll see the entire Helvellyn range, Crinkle Crags, and Blencathra. Access points include a parking lot near Ashness Bridge on the road to the village of Watendlath, from the village itself via the High Tove fell, or from Rough How Bridge on the A591 highway -- a route that runs through the quiet Shoulthwaite valley before ascending.
