Inside Out Yurts Details
If you're looking for something a little different, try Inside Out Yurts in the Borrowdale Valley near Keswick. There are six 16-foot diameter yurts spread between two campsites (Hollows Farm and Seatoller Farm), each accommodating up to five people. The interiors are high enough that most guests won't need to bend down when walking or standing inside, and the sturdy frames are made from ash and oak. Inside the yurts there are kitchens with hot plates, wood-burning stoves, wood floors covered with Moroccan rugs and futon-style beds. The Hollows Farm site features toilets and hot showers (10 minutes away), as well as a dish-washing area. The toilets and showers at Seatoller Farm are about a 5-minute walk, and there's a dishwashing area available as well. The yurts do not have electricity at either Hollows Farm or Seatoller Farm.
