Cragg Camping Barn Details
A camping barn is just as it sounds - a stone barn offering simple overnight shelter for walkers and cyclists. The barns are roomy and offer a wooden sleeping platform, table, cooking bench, cold tap and toilet, a bucket and bowls, and clothes hooks and trash bags. Cragg Camping Barn is located in Buttermere in Cumbria, and offers eight bed spaces. The barn is one among other traditional buildings on a typical Lakeland sheep farm. In a quiet valley between Buttermere and Crummock Water, Cragg Camping Barn offers a good base for walking, climbing and fishing. Guests will sleep on the first floor, reachable via internal wooden steps from the ground floor; mattresses are provided. The cooking and eating facilities are on the ground floor. There’s a metered shower, which takes £1 coins, and there's a hot and cold tap in the toilet, as well as a cold-water tap in the kitchen. Dogs are welcome as long as the barn is booked for sole occupancy only. Check-in is after 4 p.m. and checkout is by 10 a.m; there's a two-night minimum booking for Friday and Saturday nights. Group bookings at the camping barns within the Lake District are welcome, and they offer a capacity of between eight and 18 people. The barns cost £10.00 ($14.50) per person per night, and you can book at [http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/](http://www.lakelandcampingbarns.co.uk/).
