Castlerigg Hall Camping & Caravan Park Details
Just outside Keswick, Castlerigg Hall offers tent and motorhome camping, as well as stationary motorhomes for rent and camping "PODs," permanent wooden structures about the size of a large tent. Campsites are on a first-come-first-served basis, and do not accept group bookings. There's a "camper's kitchen," featuring sinks and the use of a stovetop or microwave, which take 50p tokens. Motorhome sites feature electric hookups; some feature water taps and picnic tables. The park's permanent accommodation offers all the amenities of a hotel suite except towels (BYO), and the campground's PODs, small wooden buildings, offer an indoor alternative to tent camping; they feature beds, electricity and heat, although guests should still bring their sleeping bags and/or bed linens and cooking supplies. There's a restaurant, shop and laundry facilities onsite.
