Friar's Crag Details

Friar's Crag has a lovely view of Derwent Water lake, and it's just a short, easy walk from the center of Keswick. Leave your car at the Lakeside parking lot, then walk toward the Theater by the Lake, on your left. The pavement will run out, but keep walking until you reach Friar's Crag -- simple! In addition to the scenery on this National Trust walk, take a moment to admire the monument to British writer and poet John Ruskin, some of whose early works were inspired by the Lake District.
