Beaver Lodge Details
As Banff National Park's popularity continued to grow, enterprising folks realized that more accommodations were needed to meet visitors' demands. In 1914, Norman Luxton built the Beaver Lodge as a boarding house rental property, and since then it has been home to many prominent Banff citizens. Today, the lodge sits in an open lot in a residential area of Banff. The Beaver Lodge is listed on Canada's Historic Places and the Canadian Register, and is a Federal Heritage Building.
