Rowdy Bend Trail Details

The Rowdy Bend Trail can be combined with the main park road and the Snake Bight trail for a 12.6 mile bikiing or hiking adventure. Even taken on its own, however, the trail offer a great opportunity to explore the coastal prairie of the Everglades and do some serious bird watching. At the beginning of the trail, you enter a dark and tropical forest before emerging into open fields. This is when the prairie begins. Walk beneath cabbage palms, mahogany, and hammock-loving blolly trees. The trail ends on the park road. The Rowdy Bend Trail is a multi-use trail, so watch for bicycles! It is not wheelchair accessible.
