Covington Flat Road Details
To reach the Covington Flats and Eureka Peak area of Joshua Tree National Park by car, turn south off Highway 29 in the town of Joshua Tree onto La Contenta Road, which will merge into Covington Flat Road just before you enter the park. The unpaved road also connects to the California Riding and Hiking Trail. Bikes are welcome in Joshua Tree on any road open to vehicles, including backcountry roads.
