Mowich Lake Details
Mowich Lake sits at 4,929 feet in the northwest corner of the park, and is accessible via the 16-mile-long, mostly unpaved and often bumpy, State Route 165, which remains open from about mid July to mid October. The lake, the largest and deepest in the park, is situated in a glacial basin and surrounded by meadows. The Wonderland Trail passes by here, making this one of the jumping-off points for those hiking sections or all of the 93-mile route. Non-motorized boating is permitted on Mowich Lake.
