Furnace Creek Campground Details
Located near the Visitor Center at 190 feet below sea level, Furnace Creek Campground is the only National Park Service campground in Death Valley that accepts reservations. It is also the most popular campground in the park, offering a mix of tent sites, dry RV sites, and a limited number of full hookup RV sites. The campground includes trash and recycling collection year round, a camp store, potable water, and seasonal staff and amphitheater programs. A dump station is available year round. Cell service and internet connectivity are not available. Reservations are required for stays between October 15 and April 15 and may be made up to six months in advance through recreation.gov. Sites during this peak season often book to capacity. From April 16 through October 14, the campground reduces to 41 sites and operates on a first come, first served basis. In total, the campground has 136 sites, including 18 full hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp service plus water and sewer connections. These hookup sites frequently book as soon as reservations open. Electric vehicle charging is not supported at campsite pedestals. Dedicated EV charging stations are available nearby at The Oasis Ranch and Inn. Additional dump stations are located within the Furnace Creek area and at Stovepipe Wells and Mesquite Spring campgrounds. Operating dates, services, and availability are subject to change.
