Illilouette Fall Details
The trail to the waterfall takes off from Glacier Point through a sunny, wildflower-filled area that is the result of forest fires, before reaching the trail's many long switchbacks. While the trail is relatively easy, there is a good deal of elevation change and some areas can be slippery. Nearer the falls, there are a series of handsome cascades flanked by massive granite slabs that are excellent for picnics. An assortment of landmarks, including Vernal and Nevada Falls, North Dome, and Half Dome, are visible from the trail, however the view of Illilouette Fall itself is somewhat limited.
