Muldrow Glacier Details

Also known as McKinley Glacier, Muldrow Glacier originates on the east side of Denali (Mt. McKinley) and flows eastward, merging with Traleika Glacier and Brooks Glacier and ultimately becoming the source of the McKinley River. Named in honor of U.S. Geological Survey topographer Robert Muldrow in 1902, the glacier is one of several routes used by mountaineers to summit Denali: this is the way that the legendary Sourdough Expedition conquered North America's highest peak in 1910.
